Using symbolic objects to deliver the world in my eyes

「以象徵性的物件,傳遞我眼中的世界。」.

This photograph stages the hidden cost of ambition. At first glance, the scene is filled with symbols of elegance and desire—lipstick, perfume, silk ties, and fruit. But each object carries a darker undertone: the lilies bound in red rope, the bitten apple, the grapefruit split open, the fishnet stocking stretched over a gourd.

Together, they point to the reality that many women face in professional spaces—where power often comes entangled with harassment, objectification, and coercion. What appears polished and successful on the surface often hides stories of pressure, silence, and survival.

“Behind the Success” asks viewers to look beyond the symbols of glamour and achievement, and to confront the structures of violence that still shape women’s experiences in the workplace.

《幕後的成功》邀請觀者超越光環與成就的表象,直視那些至今仍深刻影響女性職場經驗的暴力結構。

On this board, the queen—the strongest piece—is the one under attack. That’s no accident. Women often carry the most power and yet face the sharpest threats. A simple egg and a peeled orange step into the game, symbols of a body that is soft, exposed, and expected to stay unbroken. The scene feels still, but the danger is already here. Collapse doesn’t always shout; sometimes it creeps in quietly, when everything looks fine on the surface. This work is about that fragile silence, about how strength and vulnerability can exist in the same breath, and how quickly the balance can break.

棋盤上最強大的皇后,卻是被盯上的目標。這不是巧合。就像女性常被視為堅強,卻同時承受最多威脅。棋盤上的蛋和剝開的橘子,象徵著柔軟、脆弱、被要求永不破碎的身體。表面看似平靜,但危險早已逼近。崩解往往不是轟然巨響,而是靜靜發生。

On the streets of Los Angeles, you can find all kinds of objects scattered around—fast food, soda cans, candy wrappers, even half-eaten meals. To some, these things are nothing more than trash, easy to overlook and step past. But for others, they might be treasures, maybe even enough to make a meal.

The playful colors and casual arrangement of the scene create a light mood at first glance. Yet, when you pause and look closer, a quiet sadness begins to emerge. This work reflects the contrasts of the city—abundance and waste, privilege and need—and invites viewers to consider how easily we forget the invisible stories behind what we throw away.

在洛杉磯的街頭,你會看到各種散落的物件——速食、汽水罐、糖果包裝紙,甚至是吃了一半的餐點。對一些人來說,它們只是垃圾,隨意忽視、踩過即可。但對另一些人而言,這些卻可能是寶藏,甚至能湊成一頓飯。

繽紛的色彩與隨意的擺放,乍看之下帶來輕快的氛圍。但當你停下來細看時,一股安靜的悲傷漸漸浮現。這件作品反映了城市的矛盾——富足與浪費、特權與匱乏——並提醒我們,往往最容易被遺忘的,是那些藏在廢棄物背後的無聲故事。

This work reflects on how modern life reshapes our most basic rituals. The dining table, once a place of nourishment, is now reduced to a bowl of pills and supplements. Food is replaced by medication, convenience, and quick fixes—an ironic substitute for real care.

Beside it lies a Prada paper bag, a reminder of the luxuries we chase to soothe ourselves. Here, luxury does not signal wealth, but rather the illusion of comfort when everything else feels empty.

Through “An Everyday Meal,” I want to question what it means when survival and desire are measured not by health or wholeness, but by consumption and appearances. It is a critique of a society that teaches us to trade well-being for symbols.

這件作品反思現代生活如何重塑我們最基本的儀式。餐桌,本應是滋養之地,如今卻簡化為一碗藥丸與補給品。食物被藥物、便利與速效取代——成為對真實關懷的諷刺替身。

旁邊擺放著一個 Prada 紙袋,它提醒我們,不斷追逐的奢侈品並不代表真正的富足,而更像是一種假象的安慰,填補內心的空洞。

透過《日常的一餐》,我想提出疑問:當生存與欲望的衡量,不再以健康與完整為準,而是被消費與表象所取代時,這樣的社會究竟在教導我們放棄什麼?

This image brings together the objects of our obsessions—gambling chips, money, sugar, alcohol, cigarettes, pills, and powder—each a symbol of desire and escape. At first glance, they might seem ordinary, even playful, against the bright pink surface. But together, they form a chaotic portrait of the ways we lose ourselves.

For me, “Addiction” is not only about substances or habits. It is about the hunger for more, the search for comfort, and the illusion of control that keeps us coming back. These objects seduce us with promises of pleasure, yet they leave behind only fragments—ashes, crumbs, and emptiness.

The work asks: what are we really chasing, and at what cost?

這張作品匯集了我們的執念——賭博籌碼、金錢、糖、酒精、香菸、藥丸與毒品——它們既是慾望的象徵,也是逃避的出口。乍看之下,擺放在亮粉色表面上的它們似乎平凡甚至帶點遊戲感,但合在一起,卻構成了一幅混亂的肖像,揭示我們如何在其中迷失。

對我而言,《成癮》不僅關於物質或習慣,更關於那份「想要更多」的渴望、尋找慰藉的衝動,以及一種自以為能掌控,卻不斷被拉回的幻覺。這些物件以快樂的承諾誘惑我們,卻最終只留下殘渣、灰燼與空虛。

這件作品拋出提問:我們真正追逐的到底是什麼?又要付出怎樣的代價?
