more, I want more !
“You asked for more. But more is what they sold you”
In this project, I focus on how plastic surgery has become such a defining part of modern life. What once began as a tool to help people adjust their appearance has, over time, turned into an addiction for many. What was meant to build confidence has instead created a cycle where people feel they can never be enough.
I used exaggerated prosthetics to portray the trend of oversized lips. At first glance, the image may seem humorous, but beneath it lies a harsh reality. Many believe they will finally love themselves after changing their appearance to please others. But the truth is: if we cannot learn to love who we truly are, no amount of plastic surgery will ever be enough.
By tearing off the prosthetics, the subject reclaims her identity and takes back control of her body and self-worth. Beneath the surface lies a deeper question: Who told you that you needed more?
Through this project, I want viewers to reflect on the immense pressure society places on appearance, and more importantly, to recognize how inherently valuable and beautiful they already are. We are more than our features. Our worth is not defined by trends, filters, or perfection. Embracing our true selves is not only powerful but necessary.
